Reading chairman John Madejski can't wait for Saturday when England boss Roy Hodgson takes The FA Legends team to the home of the Royals.
Hodgson's men will be taking on the Army team to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Army FA.
With the landmark also coinciding with The FA150 commemorations, in the opposite dugout the Hodgson will be England Under-21s coach Stuart Pearce.
And Madejski is calling on the local Reading fans to come out to support the event, with all money raised going to the Royal British Legion and the Team Army Sports Foundation.
"We're looking forward to it immensely," said Madejski.
"Roy Hodgson is a fantastic gentleman and it's great that he's bringing some legends down to play against the Army.
"It's going to be a great, positive afternoon so well done to The FA for arranging it.
“It will raise lots and lots of money for charity which is always a good thing."
Madejski is expecting a very entertaining game, with a host of former Premier League stars taking on Pearce's Army line-up.
The likes of FA Cup winners Gary Neville, Dietmar Hamann, Paul Merson and Peter Beardsley will be in Hodgson's side, and Madejski is intrigued by how they'll match up with the fitness of the soldiers.
"It will be quite a game and it's quite tongue-in-cheek but footballers, however old they are, do like to have a game and I'm sure they'll be doing their best to beat the Army and vice-versa.
"The Army will have lots of soldiers in there who are fit as butcher's dogs and they'll be going out there to try and get a good result."
He added: "It's always nice to do this and we feel that Reading Football Club is right at the heart of the community and we like to put back into the community and do things for the community.
"This is one way of doing it and we're delighted to host such an important event at Reading."
