Ant & Dec and Paddy McGuinness recall their favourite England moments

TV stars Ant & Dec and Paddy McGuinness have spoken of their favourite England moments, as The FA’s 150th anniversary year rolls on.

The trio were all at Wembley for last week’s game with Brazil and FATV took the chance to get their thoughts on past Three Lions memories.

Geordie pair Ant & Dec both opted for the summer of ’96 and the Euro Finals on home soil, including famous Wembley wins against the likes of Holland and Scotland.

Ant said: "My favourite ever England game was in Euro '96 when we beat Holland.

"Shearer was up front with Sheringham and I don't think I've ever seen an England team play with as much fluidity.

"They just looked unbeatable in that game.”

Sidekick Dec added: "That Euro '96 tournament was just a really special summer.”

And FA Ambassador McGuinness selected a more obscure game for his favourite moment, picking the match with Chile at Wembley from 1998.

Famous for being Michael Owen’s Three Lions debut and featuring an outstanding goal from Marcelo Salas, the ‘Take Me Out’ host also spoke of his pride at being an FA Ambassador in 2013.

He said: "As a football fan, it's absolutely fantastic.

"To all my mates, I have stipulated that's how they must refer to me...the Ambassador.”
