Mark Hunter says he is looking forward to making a difference to grassroots football in 2013.

The rower, who won Olympic gold in Beijing and a silver medal in London, has been named as one of the first Ambassadors who will help mark The FA’s 150th anniversary next year.

And the West Ham fan can’t wait to get going.

Hunter told FATV: “I’m really looking forward to going in there and having an impact on the grassroots because that’s where the future of the sport really is.

“The opportunity we have as Ambassadors, to be outside of football but to come in and use our expertise in other sports to help the grassroots and really make an impact, it’s something that I’m really passionate about and something I’m looking forward to getting involved in.”
