Goals from Joe Cole and Anton Ferdinand will have impressed Sven in the build up to the World Cup.

Sven-Goran Eriksson and Tord Grip were busy watching Premiership matches once again this weekend, returning to domestic action after the success against Argentina in Geneva.
England star Joe Cole stole the show for Premiership champions Chelsea as they got back on the winning trail by beating Newcastle 3-0 in front of the watching England Head Coach.
Sven must have been delighted with the form of Cole who scored the opening goal in superb fashion and was a constant threat to the Newcastle defence. Cole made an immediate impact when he came on a substitute for England during their 3-2 friendly win over Argentina last weekend and looks to be at the top of his game for both club and country.
Cole said: “The last 12 months have been fantastic for me. I’m playing for a top side here who are champions, I’m playing for England and I’m really enjoying my football. You never stop learning, though.
“It was nice to go away with England and celebrate a win in such a fantastic game. I’m still as hungry to learn as I was 12 months ago. I’ve taken great strides but I still want to improve. You have to keep fighting and just keep going. I always had belief in my ability.
“I don’t know how much better I can get but I always try and improve. I’m learning every day and enjoying it as well." Cole was also full of praise for his Chelsea and England team-mate Frank Lampard who played his record-equalling 159th consecutive game and was outstanding at the heart of the midfield.
Cole added: “Amazing. He's different class, Frank. He’s probably the most effective player in the world in his position and to play that amount of games is incredible. I’ve started a little run and I think I’m up to seven now so I’ll have to try and catch him!”
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho had nothing but praise for the performance of the England midfielder. He said: “This time last year Joe was a player with great potential – now he is a player. He looks strong physically, strong defensively, he hasn’t lost his attacking qualities and that has made him a very good player because he works for the team."
Sven then made the trip to White Hart Lane on Sunday to see Tottenham draw 1-1 with West Ham. Michael Carrick had another superb game in the Tottenham midfield against his former club, while Paul Robinson showed everyone why he is England’s number one with a superb save to deny Teddy Sheringham in the second half.
England Under-21 defender Anton Ferdinand showed he has the potential to make the step up to the senior squad when he capped a fine performance by heading a crucial equaliser three minutes into stoppage time to help his side gain a well deserved point.
Sven's assistant Tord Grip was at the Valley on Saturday to see Wayne Rooney inspire Manchester United to a 3-1 win over Charlton.
Rooney showed his ability once again when he made a darting run to set up Ruud Van Nistelrooy for United’s second goal. Alan Smith also reminded Tord what he can with a clinical finish in the first half to fire United into the lead.
