Renata Inniss grabbed a late equaliser for Barnet against Charlton Athletic to ensure Sunday's only game in The FA Women's Premier League National Division ended in a draw.

Stacey Sowden gave the home side the lead inside the first five minutes as Barnet looked to leapfrog Charlton into third spot. But Toni Alden's looping header levelled matters after the break.

It was Alden's corner on 77 minutes that was met at the near post by the head of Felicity Gibbons, and the vistors were in front. Victory would have seen Charlton close the gap on Sunderland and Leeds at the top of the table, but with seven minutes left Sowden created the chance for Inniss who turned the ball home for a valuable point.

In the Southern Division, there was a meeting between leaders Colchester United and West Ham United with both sides having designs on winning the title. It was the Hammers, though, who were celebrating after the game as own goals from U's players Laura Guyon and Cerri Harris either side of the break gave the visitors a two-goal advantage.

Hannah Gowland did give Colchester glimmer of hope scoring in injury-time, but it was not enough.

The win sent West Ham into second place, four points behind Colchester with two games in hand. For the U's, it was their final league game of the season and they must now hope that West Ham and third-placed Portsmouth, who are five points off the top with three to play, can't overhaul them as they seek promotion to the National Division.
