A late Sarah Wiltshire penalty earns the Hornets a 2-2 draw
Watford 2-2 Sunderland The FA Women’s Premier League 1pm, Sunday 7 October 2012 Broadwater, Berkhamsted FC A late Sarah Wiltshire penalty allowed Watford to end Sunderland’s 100 per cent winning start to The FA Women’s Premier League season. The third-placed Hornets took the lead just before the break as Jo Wilson latched onto Kate Natkiel’s pass and stroked the ball past Black Cats’ goalkeeper Rachael Laws. England U19 international Keira Ramshaw levelled shortly after the restart, cutting in from the wing and firing home. And fellow Young Lion Beth Mead was involved as Mick Mulhern’s side took the lead. Mead was upended in the box and Kelly McDougall smashed the resulting penalty into the back of the net. McDougall could have put the game to bed but her thunderous effort cannoned off the underside of the crossbar. The Black Cats were made to pay as Abby Holmes conceded an 89th-minute penalty and Wiltshire earned Watford a point from 12 yards.
