Joanne Wilson and Beth Mead doubles ensure 2-2 draw

Wilson put the Hornets ahead in the 34th minute, only for Mead to level just before half-time. Watford took the lead again after 59 minutes, but the reigning champions, and League leaders rallied once more as England youngster Mead equalised for a second time to extend the Black Cats unbeaten start to the season. After the game, Sunderland boss Mick Mulhern said: I’m disappointed to drop two points. “We were dominant throughout and created several very good chances but they wouldn’t go in today. “We pushed hard for a winner but we ran out of time. That can happen but there were lots of positives and I can’t fault my players’ attitude and endeavour." Elsewhere, Manchester City defeated Barnet 1-0.
