FA Women's Premier League leaders Sunderland sweep Portsmouth aside
Sunderland 7-0 Portsmouth The FA Women’s Premier League 2pm, Sunday 16 December 2012 Sunderland strengthened their position at the top of The FA Women’s Premier League National Division with an emphatic victory over Portsmouth. The Black Cats gave a scintillating show as they scored seven goals without reply, six of which arrived in a breathtaking first half. England youngsters Beth Mead and Keira Ramshaw scored a brace apiece, while Rachel Furness, Kelly McDougall and Natalie Gutteridge completed the scoring. Sunderland will now go into the festive period with a five-point lead at the top of the table. Meanwhile, Watford maintained their title challenge with a 3-0 win over Barnet.
