Millwall Lionesses are still sitting proudly on top of The FA Tesco Women’s Premier League despite drawing 0-0 with Birmingham.

The hosts went into the game with nine points from four games, but were unable to add another three to their total as they failed to find a way past their Midlands opponents.

Yet they have been joined at the top of the table by Watford after they produced a fine display to come back from a goal down and win 3-1 at Nottingham Forest.

Reanne Thomas gave Forest the lead just before the hour-mark, and it looked as if Watford would not be able to continue their impressive start to the season.

Yet goals from Holly Miles and Samantha Pittuck ensured the three points went south as Watford moved level on points with Millwall.

Leeds Carnegie Ladies got their season off to a flyer by winning 2-0 at home to Doncaster Rovers Belles.

Jessica Clarke opened the scoring for the hosts some five minutes before the break, and victory was sealed when Ellen White secured the three points by netting four minutes before the end.
