The new FA WSL season will kick-off with a Merseyside derby.

Matt Beard’s Liverpool will entertain Everton at the Reds’ new home ground, Halton Stadium, on Saturday 23 March in the opening group match of The FA WSL Continental Cup.

This will be ESPN’s first live match of the 2013 season, too. The match kicks off at 7.30pm with TV coverage beginning at 7pm.

Current holders and WSL champions Arsenal begin the defence of the Continental Cup against last season’s FA Women’s Cup winners Birmingham City in what promises to be a mouth-watering clash between the WSL’s top two teams over the last couple of seasons.

Bristol Academy kick-off the 2013 season with a home clash against Lincoln Ladies while Chelsea travel to the Keepmoat Stadium to face Doncaster Rovers Belles.

The league campaign begins on Sunday 14 April with all four fixtures set for a 2pm kick-off.

Chelsea face Birmingham at home, Bristol Academy travel to Arsenal, Everton will entertain Donny Belles and Lincoln Ladies will host Liverpool at Sincil Bank.

ESPN will bring viewers a number of live games from the WSL and will also feature a highlights show for each match week of action, keeping fans up-to-date with all the latest action and league news. The highlights programme will be aired on Tuesday evenings at 6.30pm following each match week.
