Toni Duggan scored twice as Everton consigned the Belles to yet another defeat as the second half of
The FA Women's Super League got underway.
Duggan scored from 15 yards out in the 38th minute and then chipped over the keeper on 74 minutes but was immediately replaced by Gwennan Harries.
After watching her team win in front of a crowd of 289 at the Keepmoat Stadium Everton Coach Mo Marley said: "We have got Arsenal at the weekend. They are the champions and if there is a game people are going to come and watch it has got to be that."
Victoria Wiliams grabbed a consolation for Doncaster eight minutes from the end when she poked the ball into the net after a shot came back off the keeper.
Doncaster boss John Buckley said: "We are ravaged by injuries and I just hope we can turn things round a bit in time for the game against Chelsea on Saturday."
Marley added: "I think there was a bit of a fall-out from the Olympics with this fixture. And it was an awful night weather-wise with the rain.
"Despite the win we are in the same position as we were last year at this point and it is up to us now to push on."
At least Everton can go forward with some confidence despite their coach's harsh words. As for Doncaster they have still only managed one win in ten games and things are looking pretty bleak for them.
Buckley added: "I had a real pop at them at half-time."
But his tirade didn't really make much difference and they were fortunate only to be trailing by the one goal at the interval as Duggan could have scored with a header shortly after her opening strike but the ball went the wrong side of the near post.
