For every fan that joins Respect FC, The FA has pledged to put £1 back into the Respect initiative within grassroots (up to the value of £50,000) and members of the Club will be able to vote online to say how this money will be used at the end of this season.

Speaking about the addition of Savage to the Club, Watson explained: "This is a high profile signing for us and this is exactly what Respect FC needs to really put us on the map.”

Savage himself was also pleased to be joining and added: "I'm delighted to sign up for Respect and it’s probably the best signing the Chairman's ever made!

"My signing is hopefully the first of many and if I can only bring one extra person on board, it's a start.

"If I can change after the way I've been over my career, I'm sure anyone can change!”
