League show the way forward

The Chesterfield and District Sunday League have demonstrated their ongoing commitment to the Respect Programme and the welfare of their match officials and clubs by holding a special event recently to sign up to Respect FC.

Showing a commitment towards ongoing best practice. Nigel Smith, Referee Development Officer and County Operations Manager for the Derbyshire County FA, was invited by the League to deliver a presentation to the club committee and match officials on key issues which improve the standard of the game.

This includes aspects such as Respect, membership services, referee registrations, monitoring behaviour and the way forward for the League and Derbyshire County Football Association.

Following positive discussions at the interactive meeting, a number of actions have been proposed by the league and Derbyshire County Football Association which will work towards achieving high standards of best practice.
