Adrian Flook MP visited The Castle School in Taunton recently to present a cheque for £335,248 to the Headteacher, Kevin Freedman.  This award, made on behalf of The Football Foundation, will enable the school to construct a new artificial pitch.

Mr Flook said: “Castle School and the whole of Taunton will be able to benefit from the new pitch and on behalf of the people of Taunton Deane, I would like to thank The Football Foundation for their generosity.”

The Football Foundation is dedicated to revitalising the game of football and is the nation’s largest sports charity with £93 million already invested into the heart of football.

Peter Lee, Chief Executive of The Foundation welcomed this latest funding support: “We warmly congratulate The Castle School for their hard work and dedication in securing this award.  Grassroots football is the lifeblood of the game in this country, which is why it is vital that projects such as this now have the benefit of Foundation cash”.
