Parkfield Youth FC's girls team celebrate their win in the Charter Standard Cup.
Middlesex up for the cup
Friday, 22 July 2005.
A record number of teams from Middlesex entered the third annual Charter Standard Cup, which focuses on the development from mini soccer to the 11-a-side game.
Charter Standard clubs were able to enter teams into a girls competition for the first time and the day also provided an opportunity for newly qualified referees to develop their skills under the guidance of the County and Regional Referees Training Officers.
The teams that eventually qualified for the finals evening, after taking part in a total of six 40 minute games, were presented with trophies from the Middlesex County FA Youth Division Chairman, Barbara Bivens.
