Fosseway Special School are fast gaining an excellent reputation for providing football opportunities within their school.
Not only have they won the Somerset FA Charter Standard Award for Special Schools for the second year running, but this year they have gone one step further and have been recognised by The FA, winning the Regional Charter Standard Special School Award.
Somerset FA Football development officer Kevin Hodges visited the school recently along with Francis Hillier and Helen Marchment of the Somerset FA to present the school with their award.
Kevin said: "I am delighted to congratulate the school for their achievement and for all the hard work they do - it's great to see them gaining this recognition on behalf of the county.
"This is a very pro-active school for sports. Having raised over three hundred thousand pounds and just opened new swimming pool facilities, they are now looking towards their next project which is to provide a safe football training area for the pupils and the wider community."
