Up for The Cup 2007
Up For The Cup brings the excitement of The FA Cup competition into the classroom.
Steeped in history and reaching every corner of the country, The FA Cup is a motivating platform from which to deliver key curriculum subjects.
The Up For The Cup resource is also available on CD Rom it includes a range of exercises to support the National Curriculum for History, Geography, Art, Physical Education and Design Technology and the framework for PSHE and Citizenship at Key Stage 2.
Other activities for Mathematics and English are based on the Literacy and Numeracy strategies in the Teachers' Cards
The CD Rom offers lots of extras sucha as video clips from classic FA Cup games down the years as well as the 'Gerrard Final' of 2006 and The 2006 FA Women's Cup Final.
New items for 2006-07
This year we have included a PE section in the Up For The Cup pack. The teacher’s notes on the CD Rom support the PE curriculum for Key Stage 2.
There is also a special FA Cup competition for 2007. We're asking pupils to design their own FA Cup Final Match Ball.

Using Up For The Cup
These materials have been developed with practising teachers and are designed to be as flexible as possible. The resource can be dipped into and an individual exercise chosen to support a particular teaching point. Alternatively it could be used in its entirety.
