The Connexions Card is available free to all 16-19 year olds in England to encourage young people to continue in further learning.
Cardholders build up points as they attend learning sessions at school, college or work-based training and for some voluntary activities and are used to claim rewards.
Rewards such as free branded goods or exciting experiences like going behind the scenes at a Premiership football club, recording a CD or learning from the professionals through a work placement are available.
Cardholders can also receive discounts at local and national retailers such as; TopShop; Topman; all:sports; VUE and loads more! The Connexions Card can also be used for proof of age.
The FA have been working closely with Connexions Card for the past two years and provide Cardholders with the opportunity to attend and support the England teams and the Women’s teams both at international and club level.
Connexions Card is now starting to work with other football clubs to get this age group more involved at a local level too.
Clubs can provide rewards such as tickets, stickers and other club branded merchandise for the cardholders to claim. By providing merchandise to Connexions Card, the club can gain access to over 620,000 16 – 19yr olds nationwide and a range of other media assets.
This provides greater brand awareness and is a great way to encourage these young persons to get behind their local teams and to have a positive experience from football.
Any clubs interested in getting involved in Connexions Card please contact Jeremy Kay on 0207 2020509 or jeremy.kay@capita.co.uk.
