The Swindon Supermarine striker hit the target after 11, 28, 33, 70, 73 and 90 minutes in their 6-3 win at Hanwell Town in the South & West Division of what is now known as the "British Gas Business League".

He also had three "goals" disallowed for offside and saw two other efforts brilliantly saved by the Hanwell 'keeper.

Mark, who has played club football in Australia and the US, was a Swindon Town player as a youngster and scored seven goals in an FA Youth Cup tie away to Chelmsford City in 2002.

How does Mark's six-goal haul compare to scoring feats at other levels?

No player has netted more than five in a full England international or in a Premiership match - but Ted MacDougall blasted in nine goals for AFC Bournemouth in an FA Cup First Round Proper tie in 1971 and Joe Payne went one better for Luton Town in a Third Division (South) fixture in 1936.

But there is no doubt that six goals in an away match at Southern League level is exceptional. Mark is clearly a player to look out for.
