The Lincolnshire County Football Association, working in partnership with The Football Association, is looking to appoint a full-time Referees Development Officer.

This exciting new position will report to the Company Secretary and will commence on 1 September 2008. Based at the County Headquarters in Lincoln, the responsibilities for the successful candidate will include:-

• Ensuring there are enough referees to cover affiliated football in this county.

• To lead the Recruitment, Retention and Development of Referees.

• The Education of referees.

• The Development and implementation of support mechanisms for all referees.

• Referee Development (Leading to the growth and development of all aspects of refereeing including adult, youth, women and girls and disability).

• To offer support, help and guidance to instructors, assessors, mentors and coaches involved in refereeing.

• To develop and implement the Referee section of the County FA Development Plan.

• To work with Fitness Co-ordinators in promoting the benefits of Fitness and Fitness Training Programmes.

• Develop a system of identifying talented referees.

• Raise the standards of officiating.

You need to be passionate about and committed to the development of refereeing at a local level. You must be able to motivate people, work under pressure, be willing to work flexible hours, handle multiple priorities and be well organised and meet deadlines.

In addition, you must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence at all levels. You need to be an experienced referee as well as having some experience in training or education.
