The Amateur Football Alliance is seeking to recruit a full time Football Development Officer to implement a strategic development programme within the Alliance. The position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

 

The role encompasses the following areas: 

  • Growth and retention - increasing and sustaining player participation
  • Raising standards - creating a safe and positive environment
  • Better players - developing better players
  • Running the game - leading and governing the game efficiently

To apply you need to be of graduate calibre and have experience in sports development, and an understanding of the FA's National Game Strategy.  You need to be passionate about and committed to the development of football at a local level.  You must be able to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities, be goal oriented and meet deadlines.

 

Candidates must be able to work as an integral member of the development team, and be able to work on their own initiative. Experience of managing projects/events to demonstrate sound organisation and planning skills is required. Excellent communication, presentation and IT skills will be expected. The ability to communicate at all levels through excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills is essential

 

You will need a full clean driving licence, access to a car, and be able to work evenings and weekends.
