The FA’s Charter Standard awards were established to reward FA kite-marked schools and colleges that sets standards of teaching football in the curriculum.

As well as out of school hours, entering schools competitions and linking to local charter standard clubs, the scheme also supports additional schools and colleges to gain the award and running
Young Leadership football courses.

The awards ceremony, in partnership with E.ON and McDonalds, took place in Windsor and was followed by a trip to Wembley stadium to watch England v Estonia.

At half time the winners were presented with their awards by The FA Director of Football Development Sir Trevor Brooking and the Chair and Vice-Chair of The FA Football Development committee, Ray Berridge and Sue Hough.
