Small-Sided Football
Small-sided football has surpassed 11-a-side to become the most commonly played form of the game in England. The FA has big plans for it's future development.
In 2002, 4.4 million adults played small-sided football, with over a million involved in league or cup five-a-side. The numbers are ever rising with the growth of purpose built facilities.
The FA will support the growth of the game by establishing specific governance processes, standards of provision, relationships with commercial providers. There are also pland a national fives tournament and encouraging the growth of Futsal in England.
