Since 2001, 337 projects have received financial support towards facility development. This has resulted in a total investment of £109,844,391, of which the Football Foundation has contributed £76,382,931 (65%). 126 of these projects are now completed. Here are a few examples........


Fernwood School, Nottinghamshire

 





Total Investment: £451,610

Football Foundation Contribution: £282,481 (63%)


 

This project included the provision of a new full size artificial pitch and the drainage of 3 youth pitches and 2 new mini soccer pitches.

 

Impact

 

This has improved the playing quality for the 400 current participants who used the facilities and provided opportunities for 370 new participants.

Wollaton Hall FC who use the site have been awarded Charter Standard Development Status

 

 

Buckhurst Hill JFC, Essex

Total Investment:  £467,081

Football Foundation Contribution: £290,546



 

 

This project included the purchase of land in order to provide the club with a new club house containing 4 team changing rooms, 2 match officials rooms, toilets and a social area. The previous clubhouse had been destroyed by fire.

 

Impact

 

This club can now provide facilities for its 200 youth players and has been awarded the FA’s Charter Standard Development Club. As well as teams ranging from under 7 to under 17 the club has three adult teams. It also has a rapidly growing girls section with 3 girls teams and plans for two more next season.

 

 

Wigton Moor Sports Association




Total Investment: £536,004

Football Foundation Contribution: £412,723




This project provided a new clubhouse comprising of changing rooms for players and officials and a social area. Drainage was provided to the association 4 existing pitches and two new mini soccer pitches created.

 

Impact

It’s also provided a coach education venue in North Leeds for West Riding County FA.

 

Steeple Aston Parish Council, Oxfordshire






Total Investment: £148,794

Football Foundation Contribution: £120,117

 

This project refurbished the village hall to provide changing rooms to new pitches on the site.

 

Impact

 

This has provided playing opportunities for over 250 participants and has allows the women’s and girls team to play at ‘home’ in the village.


 

Mitchell Shackleton FC, Manchester



Total Investment: £210,595

Football Foundation Contribution: £165,106

 

This project provided a new pavilion with 4 changing rooms, additional fencing and improvements to a pitch on a site which was previously under-utilised.

 

Impact

 

This has helped to sustain adult football. It has also created opportunities for mini-soccer and women and girls football, creating opportunities for up to fifty new participants.
