Junior football club AFC Holmer Green has achieved FA Charter Standard Club Status just 9 months after the club were founded.
The club train and play their matches at the Misbourne in Great Missenden, and Secretary Jim Dale said: "The Club is over the moon with this recognition from The Football Association, which has taken a big effort by the parents, coaches and volunteers to achieve."
The FA Charter Standard Scheme sets standards of coaching, administration and child protection for clubs working with young people.
Sir Trevor Brooking, The FA's Director of Football Development passed on his congratulations. "Clubs such as Holmer Green are the cornerstones of The FA's grassroots football strategy.
"Achieving FA Charter Standard Club status can be achieved by clubs who are committed to putting themselves at the heart of their local football communities, not only for existing participants but for future generations too."
"The FA Charter Standard Clubs provide an alternative pyramid for all clubs across the country. We may not all be able to achieve the same playing status as a David Beckham or Faye White, but all clubs can become an FA Charter Standard Club and help develop their players to become the best that they can be, supporting them to learn from qualified coaches in a fun, safe environment."
