Safe Football

Creating fun, safe football environments is central to safeguarding children. Most children and young people have a fantastic experience through football – but sadly, some don't. Safeguarding Children is everyone's responsibility and having welfare officers in all clubs and leagues with youth teams is crucial to The FA’s simple three-part approach to safeguarding.

The Right People

It is important that football recognises its responsibility to safeguard and protect children and young people who are involved in football. Responsible recruitment procedures will help to screen out those people who are not suitable to work with children, young people and vulnerable adults.
