FAMOA Incentive Scheme update

Clarification on the scheme for the 2009-10 season.

Following some recent queries regarding changes to the FAMOA Incentive Scheme for the 2009-10 season, we are happy to offer the following clarification:-

Referees of level 4 and above

The decision has been made that from this season, Supply League games are no longer eligible for you to claim points for. This applies whether you are referee, assistant referee or assessor on a Supply League game. Anything under Supply League level - games of all ages, abilities and gender that are 11-a-side and part of officially sanctioned leagues and competitions - are eligible to collect points for. Friendlies however do not count.

Please be assured that if you are a referee operating at level 4 or above, you can still collect points for the other sections in the logbook. This includes various refereeing activities such as mentoring, instructing, recruiting and attending a variety of Continuation Events. Also, if you are a level 4 referee or above and officiate on any games below Supply League level, you can claim points for these.

Number of Games required to make a claim

From this season you will only be able to claim on the Incentive Scheme if you complete a minimum of ten games as either Referee, Assistant Referee, Fourth Official or Assessor. This does not apply to Instructors.

FAMOA Website

Please note that if you are new to the Incentive Scheme this season, you will not be able to access the website, www.famoa.com, until April 2010 when the date arrives to start thinking about redeeming your points. The website exists purely for this purpose. The deadline for submitting your logbook and using up your points will be, as usual, 31 July 2010.

As was the case last season, no order forms will be sent out next year. The only method of redeeming points is now via the FAMOA website, however those who do not have internet access can request a paper form from us.
