Clubs boosted by McDonald's donation

Kit and equipment provided via Club Twinning Programme

Grassroots football clubs continue to be given a helping hand by their local McDonald's restaurant under The FA and McDonald's' Club Twinning Programme, which provides grassroots teams with new kit and equipment.

Teams from across the UK are benefitting from brand new kit and coaching equipment which will help players during training sessions and improve their skills on the pitch.

Bill Brown, McDonald's' franchise supervisor for their Salford store, has stepped in to support New Hope FC, twinning his restaurant as part of the programme.

Brown said: “I’m proud to support community grassroots football clubs who do a fantastic job in keeping the local youngsters active.

"My Salford restaurant has been twinned with New Hope FC and I hope that by supporting the club through the donation of kit and equipment we can help them to grow and encourage more children to get involved in the national game.”

As McDonald’s, The FA’s Community Partner, has already created over 13,000 new volunteer community coaches across the UK to increase access to free qualified coaching for youngsters everywhere. However, the right coaching equipment and kit is also vital and McDonald’s has donated more than 200,000 footballs and 13,000 kitbags to the new coaches over the past six years to help support local teams.
