Claire Lewis is someone who needs no encouragement when it comes to football, filled with enthusiasm for the game you'll find her any given Sunday playing and coaching football on the pitches of London.Claire has recently started coaching one of local men's teams, and takes as much enjoyment from picking the side as she does from going out on the pitch and playing herself.
Claire told TheFA.com: "It's an absolute passion of mine, at a time on a Sunday when people would rather be in bed, I just adore being out involved in football.
"My friend Dan was setting up a new club and he asked me if I wanted to get involved. Everything clicked from the moment I arrived in my tracksuit. I watched their first session and then I took the next week as a trial for me.
"They worked out that they wanted me and I took over as the coach, going every Wednesday to meet them for an hour and a half training session and then every Sunday for the matches around London."
Claire coaches the men's side on Sunday mornings before heading off to play for Hampstead Women's Football Club, and she appreciates the change in responsibility that the two roles provide.
"We've had a mixed season, some inconsistency of players available because of injuries, but we're a really committed group of girls.
"We train every week and all through the winter come rain, sleet or snow we're out there training and playing football.
"It's a really fantastic club to be involved in, and I wouldn't change it for the world."
