County Development Manager - Cumberland CFA

A new role is available at the Cumberland FA.

The Cumberland CFA are looking to appoint a County FA Development Manager. This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and will lead the football development workforce and coordinate and implement the National Game Strategy within the County.

The role encompasses the following areas:-
• Strategic planning
• Managing the football development, referee development and welfare workforce including a number of full time and part time officers.
• National Game Strategy delivery:-
o Growth and retention - Increasing and sustaining player participation.
o Raising standards – creating a safe and positive environment.
o Running the Game – leading and governing the game efficiently including playing a leading role in developing the annual County Delivery Plan.
o Better players – developing better players with a focus on the 5-11 age group.
o Workforce – developing and delivering a robust workforce plan for coaches, referees, young leaders, referees, welfare officers and volunteers.
o Facilities and investment – working with the Football Foundation and other investment partners to support priority applications for capital and revenue funding.

You need to be passionate about and committed to the development of football at a local level. You must be able to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines. In addition, you must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to positively influence at all levels, have a proven track record of managing staff. You will also need to have a current driving licence and be able to work evenings and weekends.

This post is a fixed term contract until 30 June 2013 with a view to it being extended to 30 June 2015.

Salary range £27,000 - £33,000
