Social Inclusion Co-ordinator - Manchester

A position is available at the Manchester CFA.

Manchester Football Association is seeking to recruit a Social Inclusion Co-ordinator for football to continue to implement a strategic community development programme that will use football as a tool to build a better future. 

This project has three main aims:-

1. To co-ordinate and support existing projects in Greater Manchester with a Social Inclusion theme.
2. To identify gaps in provision and provide opportunities by targeting deprived and hard to reach communities that sit outside of existing Social Inclusion projects.
3. To ensure a sustainable post exists for Social Inclusion beyond October 2012.

Specific areas of work will include:- 

• Developing competitions for under-represented groups.
• Helping administer and deliver tournaments on a regular basis, involving social inclusion projects and other partners working in deprived communities.
• Helping to develop exit routes and further partnerships (SSP’s, local authority)
• Club development and workforce development
• Race equality and social inclusion

To apply, you need to be of graduate calibre and have significant experience in sports development working with challenging young people and adults within community settings. You need to be passionate about and committed to the development of football at a local level and ideally have a knowledge of The FA’s National Game Strategy. 

Based at Manchester FA’s headquarters at the Salford Sports Village, candidates should have excellent interpersonal, presentation, administrative, communication and computer literacy skills and have the ability to influence at all levels, establish partnerships and manage finances associated with projects. You need to have a current full driving licence and be able to work evenings and weekends.

Salary is from £22,500 to £26,000 and the role is a fixed term post until 31 October 2012.
