Macclesfiesld are team of the weekend after a thrilling victory over League Two leaders Wycombe.

Macclesfield toppled League Two leaders Wycombe to earn the honour of the very first Team of the Weekend of 2006. Brian Horton's men came out on top in a thrilling contest to eventually secure a 5-4 win at the Causeway Stadium on Monday.
Macclesfield stormed into a three goal lead courtesy of two strikes from Clyde Wijnhard and one from Danny Whitaker inside the first 13 minutes.
Wycombe pulled themselves back into the game with two goals from Tommy Mooney either side of half-time, before Russell Martin scored a superb leveller on 71 minutes. Incredibly, Wycombe then went ahead, as Macclesfield's David Morley turned the ball into his own net.
The game was not over however, and the visitors struck twice inside the final 13 minutes through Jon Parkin, and collected a fantastic three points.
Macclesfield manager Brian Horton said: "It was a fantastic game of football and another great result for us. We’re unbeaten in ten games now and moving nicely up the table. We’ve had an unforgettable Christmas and a fantastic start to 2006."
There was another significant performance at Reading where Steve Coppell's side started the New Year as they finished 2005. A resounding 5-1 victory over Cardiff leaves them ten points clear at the top of the Championship.
Peterborough picked up an impressive 4-1 win over Bury in League Two, and in the Premiership Chelsea continued their incredible season with a 3-1 win at London rivals West Ham.
