The footballing saints were looking after teams on their travels last weekend as the performances of the weekend came from clubs playing away from home.
Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea took a giant step towards retaining their Premiership title with a win at London rivals Arsenal. But even mighty Chelsea’s away record does not stand up against our two teams of the weekend - Reading and Leyton Orient.
Championship leaders Reading scored their eighth consecutive victory and are now unbeaten in 23 games. Their comprehensive 2-0 win at Millwall means they are unbeaten in all of their eight away games this season.
Manager Steve Coppell refuses to let his players enjoy their success, as he wants them to keep their eye on the main prize - promotion.
Captain Graeme Murty said: "The manager told us to give ourselves a round of applause in the dressing room and then look to our next set of matches. We look at games in six-game cycles and that was the end of our latest cycle. Now on to the next."
That leaves Reading 20 points clear of third placed Watford and six ahead of Sheffield United, who are in second spot.
The best away performance in League One came from Brentford, who moved into second place thanks to an impressive 4-1 win at Tranmere.
Manager Martin Allen admitted: "It could have been four-all at half-time."
But even more impressive and crucial an away performance came from joint team of the week Leyton Orient, of League Two.
They won 4-2 at fellow play-off and promotion rivals Rochdale and along with The Royals are the only league sides in the country without an away defeat – this was Orient's tenth away clash.
Orient manager Martin Ling (pictured above) was generally low key about his team continuing their fantastic run and came up with a crafty tactic to improve his side’s home form.
"This was a good day, but before the next home game against Rushden and Diamonds we are getting on the coach and going round the M25 to pretend we are playing away from home. Hopefully then we’ll be OK."
