We are all very disappointed to have come away with both our festive games with nothing, and having to leave my daughter at 10 o'clock on Christmas morning to get to Plymouth was no fun at all.

We all felt we deserved something against Crewe on the 28th. The fans had a go at us at half time, because they expect big things after our run earlier in the season. But I hope they have realised the most important thing this season is staying in the Championship.

When we were in the play-off places, we put pressure on ourselves, and it has begun to show. Everybody wants to ultimately play in the Premiership, and for us it seemed like it would be a reality.

We have all been guilty of believing in the fairy tale of Premiership football. But the reality is survival this season, especially when you see how far the club has come.

And if we can survive comfortably, then it will be a very successful season.

We need five more games to virtually guarantee survival, and it is good to be at that stage at the turn of the year, rather than in March or April.

We are all a bit down at the moment, but we have the best person to get us out of it - Ian Holloway.

He is full of enthusiasm, and he's so positive about everything. After our loss against Crewe he didn't go mad, he just told us not to be down about things.

The togetherness at this club is something special - something I have never experienced at any other club.

Part of it is there are four Rangers fans in the first team - Kevin Gallen, Adam Miller, Lee Cook and of course Marc Bircham with his blue and white hair.

You can get caught up in it, and the affection they have for the club goes through all of us. I love playing at home, with the buzz at the ground, so it must be 20 times better for them because they grew up watching QPR from the stands.

I will meet up with my Ladies team next week for the first time since Christmas, because they had no fixtures over the festive break.

Have a happy and safe New Year, and hopefully next week I will have something to shout about!

QPR play Brighton at Loftus Road on New Years Day, then travel to Leicester City on the third of January.
