The Daily Mirror claim Wayne Rooney will turn down a new contract with Everton and spark a massive transfer scramble between Chelsea and Manchester United.

England’s Euro 2004 star has reportedly decided he wants to move on, either this summer or in the next transfer window.

Everton appear to have little option but to sell their home-grown starlet with Chelsea clear favourites to sign him.

The 23-year-old has been told he can leave Bayern Munich and is eyeing a move to the Premiership.
