It's been going very well at Carrow Road over the last couple of weeks. Four wins on the bounce has given us a two point lead at the top. We had very good victories at Burnley and before that Stoke at home, followed by two brilliant wins over the Easter weekend.

The win at Reading was very fortuitous, the ball hitting referee Neale Barry and falling into the path of Phil Mulryne, but I believe that, if you are going to win things, you need a bit of luck from time to time. On that occasion, the chance still needed to be converted and it was a great finish from Phil.  That's the first bit of luck we've had like that this season and these things certainly help, but over the course of the season, they even themselves out and what goes around comes around.

As well as luck, to achieve anything, you need a good team spirit.  We have a wonderful atmosphere at Norwich, everybody gets on and respects each other and we have a high work-ethic within the club, which is very important.  In addition, fans are vital to a club's success.

Sven said yesterday that the England fans are like the 12th man, I couldn't agree with him more, and I think any manager would say the same. We've taken 8,000 fans to Crystal Palace and Reading, two or three thousand to different places around the country and we enjoy full-houses at Carrow Road.  They have played a huge part in helping us get to where we are at this moment in time. When they are singing and getting behind the players, it makes for a great atmosphere and it gives the players a massive boost.

We welcome Walsall for our match tomorrow, and they've just let their manager Colin Lee and assistant Paul Bracewell leave the club.  Paul Merson takes temporary charge with Simon Osborn, but that doesn't mean it will be an easy game for us.  I have to concentrate on my job and earning the victory that will hopefully leave us needing just five points from four games to secure promotion to the Premier League.

If we can secure that promotion, then we'll look at the Championship, and if we do as we have been doing of late we can realistically achieve both objectives, which will be the icing on the cake.
