The signs are ok for us at Carrow Road at the minute, but on Saturday we have a very tough game at home against West Ham, who were one of my fancied teams at the outset. It's a great game on the cards from everyone's point of view, with two teams pushing for promotion. They had an indifferent start to the season, then Alan Pardew was able to bring in a few new players and they started picking up results.

One of those players is Bobby Zamora, he's proven at this level. After a big money move to Spurs in the summer, a lack of opportunities meant that he didn't have a real go at the Premiership, which I'm sure he's capable of doing. He's had to move back to possibly move forward with West Ham and will want to prove that the Premiership isn't a step too far for him.

Players like Bobby just add to what is a great game in store. It doesn't get any easier for us after tomorrow. We follow that game with three massive fixtures; Sunderland away, then West Brom and Ipswich at home. But it's those type of games we want to be playing every week.

It's a challenge to play against the best sides and if we come through these next four matches with maximum points, it will certainly go some way to helping us achieve that and reach the Premiership next season. It's an exciting month for Norwich City and will aid our growth as we mature as a team in preparation for what could come next year, both in terms of our football ability and our mental attitude. We are now at the stage where you have to believe in yourself, believe in the team and try to push forward and reach that bit higher.

As well as what goes on at the club, it is sometimes things that are away from us that can give a team and its players a boost. Ian Henderson returned on a real high on Thursday after international duty with England's Under-19s. He scored the second goal in a 2-0 win away against Ruud Gullit's Holland, and has been buzzing, showing his very best during the last two days in training. We also have Joe Lewis, our young 'keeper, away with the Under-17s in Portugal for the next few days and it offers the boys a chance to experience a different level of the game and gives them added confidence which they then bring back. It is also very pleasing for a manager when players are involved in the international set-up and it shows that the club is doing something right with the kids coming through.

The Big Match in the Premiership
Saturday also sees two of the top three competing in the Premiership when Chelsea take on Arsenal. It's another mouth-watering game and after last week when they had chance to size each other up in The FA Cup, they'll know a little more. Arsenal may have lost a couple of players through injury, but I just think that with the momentum that Arsenal have built up over the season, the game may just go in their favour once again. They have the bit between their teeth and are very good value at this moment in time. People say Arsenal make playing the game look easy, but it comes down to the individuals on the pitch, top athletes who prepare, train and focus properly, and keep producing top performances week in, week out.

With the quality they have at Highbury, there's very good chance that they will go all the way this year. I don't want to rule Manchester United out, who we know will keep up the fight to the very last, but if you look at the overall squads and Arsene can keep his players fully fit, then I think they will have every chance in lifting the title.

We're in a similar position as Arsenal, five points clear at the top of the division. But I'm a great believer in setting your own tone and style. We're not an Arsenal and we're nowhere near an Arsenal, we have our own style of play that we've been making progress with over the last few years. Our focus, continuing tomorrow, will be to bridge that gap between us.
