Today is the penultimate day of the Close Season...

Throughout the month of June players in England are given a break away from the game and only international, small-side, armed forces and scout matches are permitted.

Without any football for a whole month,
TheFA.com is here to help you through every day in June with our guide, Close Season Encounters, pointing you in the direction of your daily dose of the Beautiful Game...

A tribute to Foe

Foe collapsed and died on Thursday night, 18 minutes before the end of his team's 1-0 semi-final victory over Colombia and tonight's final will be played as a sign of respect for the midfielder.

At 9pm local time in the Stade de France, the host nation takes on Foe's team, and as a tribute to the man who spent last season on loan at Manchester City, a minute silence will be observed. The players of France and Cameroon will join hands alternately around the centre circle prior to kick off following FIFA's decision to re-arrange to pre and post-match ceremonies in Marc's honour.
