The Final Countdown

At 6pm local time, Lyon's Gerland Stadium hosts Colombia v Cameroon. While the South American's will be eyeing a place in the final to cap their first participation in the competition since its inception in 1992, Cameroon, in their second tournament, have fared much better than two years ago in Japan where they failed to get out of the Group.

The second of the day's games is in Paris. Host nation France will be very confident of earning their second successive final spot in front of a strong Stade de France support, but as their opponents Turkey proved in the World Cup a year ago they concern themselves not with the formbook. They too will think the trophy is within their reach.

The match kicks off at 9pm local time and promises to be an intriguing encounter.
