Burscough's fans saw their side pull off a famous win over Gillingham.
Burscough worthy winners

The road to Wembley began properly over the weekend as teams from the lower divisions did battle in the first round proper of the world’s oldest football competition - The FA Cup.
And true to tradition, there were thrills and shocks. Heroes were made, none more so than David Rowan. The semi-professional striker came off the bench to score a dramatic last minute to goal for Burscough that dumped Gillingham out of the competition.
That is why the Unibond League team are worthy winners of TheFA.com’s Team of the Weekend.
The Lancashire minnows have never reached the Second Round of The FA Cup, but their fans were hoping for something special when League One side Gillingham made the trip to Victoria Park.
The teams are separated by 76 places in the league and Burscough started the match in nervy fashion. But nobody envisaged them taking the lead on ten minutes after skipper Karl Bell smashed the ball home from close-range after a fumble from Gillingham goalkeeper Tony Bullock.
But the Linnets were bought back to earth when Gillingham scored through Matthew Jarvis. And it seemed as though non-league team were going to be denied glory when Mark Saunders scored for the visitors with 14 minutes to go.
But in a dramatic twist, the home side equalised with a minute to go through an own goal from Ian Cox before 23-year-old Rowan shattered Gillingham with a stoppage time shot that was deflected into the net which threw the crowd of just under 2000 into raptures of delight.
"It’s taking time to sink in because it was an unbelievable result to win in the fashion we did against a league side," echoed Burscough manager Derek Goulding.
"I can’t wait to see the video again and recapture the moment. It equals all my career achievements and it is fantastic for us all.
"The second round is territory we have never been to as a club but I will take anyone with a long list of injuries or suspensions just so we can have a chance of a clash with a Premiership side."
Other teams considered for the accolade were Chasetown who earned a replay against Oldham Athletic at Boundary Park and Weymouth who very nearly humbled Nottingham Forest at the City Ground with a magnificent 1-1 draw.
