Performance-wise it's been ok this year, we've been playing well, but results aren't going our way.  A bit of good fortune here or there wouldn't go amiss, but that's the harsh reality of the Premier League.

Last game against Bolton we had three or four very good chances to score goals in the first half and we didn't score any of them.  Bolton got half a chance and it was in the net. It was a very good finish, a superb goal in fact, but it's just that extra little bit of quality we seem to be missing.  Teams that have established themselves in the Premiership are more familiar with what's needed and that extra little bit can take you a long way.

Having said that, we knew what it was going to be like when we won promotion last year, I expected it to be a tough season and it's proved to be so.  It's a great league to be involved in and the quality is very high.

Even though we've not collected as many points as we'd like, there has only been a handful of games in which we've not played well.  The majority of our performances have been exceptional, but for better finishing, from all of the team, and the odd mistake here and there defensively, we could be higher up the league.

We expected it to be like this, though. I think we're maybe worth five or six more points over thecourse of the season; a little rub of the green here and there would have helped, but it's wasn't meant to be, were sititng on 20 points at the bottom of the table. But we're still in there, it's not lost yet. We've got to try and get it right in our last eight games.

And it doesn't let up. We've got some big games on the way, Arsenal on Saturday at Highbury, then Manchester United at Carrow Road next week. But that's the excitement and joy about playing in Premiership, the whole point is playing against teams like Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea. Top clubs, with world-class players, you have to pick you brains to try and challenge them and as long as you work hard to try and come out with some credit, and hopefully a result, that's all you can ask for.

I think Norwich has given something to the Premiership this season, both on the football pitch and the way we have conducted ourselves off the pitch as a good club, a nice club, and I think that's important too.

It's not over, it's an uphill challange, granted, with games starting to run out, but we've just got to remain positive, keep working and doing our own job, regardless of what others do.

It's still in our hands.
