The Daily Mirror claim that Mark Hughes is set to be offered £1m a year to move to Blackburn Rovers after the Ewood Park club identified him as their No.1 choice.
The Wales manager is apparently set to hold talks with Blackburn chief executive John Williams this week and is ready to move to the Premiership provided the offers meets his approval.
One potential stumbling block could be Hughes’s desire to lead Wales in their World Cup qualifier against England next month.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez sees Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard as a potential galactico.
The Spanish giants made a summer swoop for Gerrard’s former Liverpool team-mate Michael Owen and also signed Newcastle’s England centre-back Jonathan Woodgate.
Now Perez admits: "Steven Gerrard is a player I really like – he is the type of player who would suit the famous shirt of Real Madrid." (The Sun)

Monaco coach Didier Deschamps believes his team face a tough task in their Champions League opener next week against Liverpool - who he believes are still a club of legend.
He said: "Liverpool are less in the limelight than a few years ago but they did well in the UEFA Cup last year.

Kevin Keegan is facing the sack at Manchester City, according to The Sun.
The paper claims Keegan could be out of a job next weekend if his team loses at Crystal Palace.
City have won just three of their last 15 league games. Keegan has spent more than £50m on the team, but the club finished just above the relegation zone last season.
