TheFA.com looks back on last night's Champions league action which saw Arsenal leave it late to beat Dynamo and Monaco make history against Deportivo...
Group A
Martin O'Neill's Celtic turned on the style for the first half an hour of their Group A match at home to Anderlecht, scoring three times to put the game beyond the Belgians.
Celtic, dictating the pace of the game brilliantly, raced out of the traps to give thenmselves a great chance of qualifying for the Second Round of the competition. Headed goals from Henrik Larsson and Chris Sutton sandwiched a wonderful strike from young Irish striker Liam Miller.
In Munich, Giovane Elber made a fairytale return to the Olympic Stadium when he scored Lyon's 53rd-minute winner against his old club Bayern Munich.
After falling behind to a spectacular Juninho free-kick in the sixth minute, the Germans levelled through Dutchman Roy Makaay eight minutes later, but Elber was on hand to fire low past Kahn for the winner.

Group B
Arsenal left it late at Highbury but thanks to Ashley Cole's winner two minutes from time, they beat Dynamo Kiev 1-0 to keep their Champions League hopes alive.
After a first half which saw Arsenal waste numerous goalscoring opportunities, Dynamo gradually started to threaten Jens Lehmann's goal in the second period.
They were guilty of missing two relatively easy chances and, just when it seemed the game was heading for a goalless draw, they were punished when Cole headed home Wiltord's cross from the right.
Internazionale remain top of the group despite being held to a 1-1 draw at home to Lokomotiv Moscow.
Alvara Recoba opened the scoring with a well struck volley after 14 minutes. Though they tried hard to break down the Russians' defence, Inter couldn't find a second and were made to suffer when Lokomotiv equalised.
Dmitri Loskov's deflected strike after 55 minutes means that the Moscovites have taken four points out of six from the Serie A giants and will fancy their chances of qualification.

Group C
In an extraordinary match at the Stade Louis II, Dado Prso was the hero for Monaco as he scored four times as Monaco ran out 8-3 winners over Deportivo La Coruna in the highest-scoring match in Champions League history.
Prso, who was only starting because on-loan Fernando Morientes was ruled out with a thigh injury, turned 29 on Tuesday and celebrated by scoring a first half hat-trick and adding a fourth on 49 minutes.
Didier Deschamps' team are now on the brink of a place in the second round and Depor, one of the most accomplised and experienced sides in the Champions League, will now have to turn their form around in time for the visit of AEK Athens on 25 November.
Prso's goals were added to thanks to further strikes from Jerome Rothen, Ludovic Giuly, Jaroslav Plasil and former West Ham man Edouard Cisse while striker Diego Tristan (twice) and Lionel Scaloni scored for the Galicians. Monaco now move above Depor at the top of Group C.
Group rivals PSV Eindhoven played their way back into contention with a 2-0 victory over AEK Athens - they now trail Deportivo by only one point. Second-half goals from Wilfred Bouma and Arjen Robben sealed the points.

Group D
Juventus became the second side (after Real Madrid) to qualify for the second round after they came away from Spain with a goalless draw against Real Sociedad.
The Spanish side had the better chances to win the match, but they know that a victory in Greece against Olympiakos in their next match will see them through.
Meanwhile Olympiakos gave themselves hope in Group D after a 3-0 win at home to Galatasaray.
Dimitrios Mavrogenidis and Nery Alberto Castillo scored in the first half for the Greeks before Giovanni scored a third in the last minute of the match.
