UEFA European Women's Championship, Group A
Blackburn Rovers FC
11 June 2005, 6pm

England are just one point away from a place in the Semi-Finals of Women's Euro 2005 and Coach Hope Powell has called out to fans to once again get behind the team when they take on Sweden.

The Three Lions were just ten minutes away from securing qualification from Group A on Wednesday night, but two late goals from Denmark scuppered plans for an Ewood Park party, which is hopefully just on hold until this weekend.

"Football showed that it can be a cruel game, but we've got to pick ourselves up," said Powell when she spoke with TheFA.com.

"Going into the tournament Sweden were overwhelming favourites to progress from the group, but they have to beat us to go through, while a draw for us will do.

"But we know we can get the win and we'll be going all out for the three points. If the fans are anything like they have been already, they'll give the players a great lift.

"The crowds have been magnificent so far, and with a huge game in Blackburn again on Saturday, getting behind the girls from the first whistle will hopefully give us a massive advantage just when we need it most."

Over 19,000 tickets have sold so far for the crunch match, which kicks off at 6pm, so make sure you are there to cheer on England, too.
