England will find out who they will face in the 2005 UEFA European Women’s Championship Finals when the Final Draw is held at the City of Manchester Stadium on Wednesday 19 January 2005.
Sports Minister Richard Caborn, UEFA Chief Executive Lars-Christer Olsson and FA Chairman Geoff Thompson will be at the City of Manchester Stadium for the Final Draw ceremony, which will begin at 1.45pm.
The eight participating nations are England, Denmark, Finland, France, titleholders Germany, Italy, Norway and Sweden, and they will all be playing for a new trophy, which will also be unveiled on the 19 January.
The eight-team tournament will be staged in England from 05 to 19 June 2005 at five venues in the North West.
The City of Manchester Stadium will host the opening England game on Sunday 05 June. The other Group A matches will be played at Ewood Park, home to Blackburn Rovers, and at Bloomfield Road, Blackpool.
Preston North End’s Deepdale ground and Warrington Wolves’ newly built Halliwell Jones Stadium will host the Group B games and will each stage one Semi-Final.
