England and Chelsea centre-back John Terry.
Tuesday, 08 June 2004.
Latest news from the England camp is that John Terry has tonight been for an MRI scan on his troublesome hamstring.
There was good news in that there is no major damage to the hamstring which gives the green light for John to step up to a more aggressive level of rehabilitation.
However, with the France game now not far away, John's availability for England's opener remains in the balance.
Terry missed training today with the injury strain that he picked up during England's 1-1 draw with Japan last Tuesday.
However, his fitness is progressing slowly and, after a light running session with Gary Lewin this morning, the Chelsea man will be increasing his work each day.
We'll keep bringing you all the updates direct from here in Lisbon.
