Elite Qualifying Round
Group 6
ENGLAND, Austria, Finland, Wales
31 March-5 April 2012 England will host Austria, Wales and Finland in Group 6 of the Elite Qualifying Round of this season’s UEFA European Women’s U19 Championship, following the draw in Nyon earlier today.
Mo Marley’s side received a bye in the First Round, courtesy of their impressive recent record in this competition - they won their maiden title in 2009 and were runners-up in both 2007 and 2010 - and they were selected to host the Elite Round for the second time in four years.
The matches will take place between 31 March and 5 April 2012 and the venues will be confirmed in January next year.
The top-placed nation in the group will progress to the Finals, which will be staged in Turkey between 2-14 July 2012.
In preparation for this Elite Qualifying Round campaign, England will travel to Holland for a double-header against France, on Tuesday 22 November, and the the host nation, on Thursday 24 November.
