England ended the Ten Nation Tournament on a high with victory over Denmark, although it could have been different but for a vital penalty save from Rebecca Spencer.

Denmark were awarded a spot kick early on in the match but Spencer made a splendid save to keep the scores level and from then on England would go on to dominate proceedings.

Abbie Prosser gave England a deserved lead on the hour mark and Jordan Nobbs followed it up with a fine goal just eight minutes later.

With a number of younger players, including those involved in the U17s World Cup at the end of last year, it was a promising week for Mo Marley with victories over Holland and Denmark, only slightly marred by an undeserved 3-2 defeat to Germany.

Three strong performances will give the team confidence as they build towards the Second Round of European Championship qualification.
