Lois Fidler's side beat Northern Ireland by 2-1 in Euro qualifier.
The England Women’s U17 team won their second Euro 2012 qualifier inside three days to put themselves in a strong position to progress to the next phase of the competition.
After a deserved 4-1 victory over Israel on Monday, Lois Fidler’s young side were pitted against First Round Qualifying hosts Northern Ireland and the visitors took just seven minutes to seize the initiative as Katie Zelem fired home her third goal in two games.
Northern Ireland rallied and Jessica Foy equalised just four minutes into the second half.
Abbey Leigh-Stringer’s goal eleven minutes from time, however, handed England all three points and left them joint top of Group 6 alongside Finland, who they face in the final qualifier on Sunday.
The ten group winner and four best runners-up will make it through to the Second Qualifying Round, which is due to take place next spring.
