France victorious with five second-half goals.
France 5-0 England
A Women’s U17 International

Stade Municipal Paul Chandon, Epernay
A dominant second-half performance from France saw them run out 5-0 victors over the England Women’s U17s in Epernay.
The two teams had gone in goalless at the break, with England ‘keeper Sophie Holland pulling off two fine stops in the first half.
However, there was very little she could do about the French onslaught after the restart and succumbed to Charlotte Landrieux’s strike after just 19 seconds. An injury to Harris, after an unfortunate slip, went unnoticed by the referee and France capitalised to make it 2-0. It was 3-0 just four minutes later as France demonstrated their clinical side.
They extended their lead in the 66th minute before rounding things off with a fifth from the penalty spot late on.
England Head Coach Lois Fidler could take some positives from the game, however, in that she handed four players their debut and she has to wait just two days before getting the chance to make amends; they play France again on Thursday.
